Demilec (USA) offers two (2) courses in which participants will gain additional information and insight into the impact of spray foam insulation on building performance. In addition to the thermal performance of spray foam insulation, these courses discuss the benefits of moisture control, indoor air quality, sound attenuation, dust reduction and overall comfort of buildings. The presentations cover application techniques of the rigid and semi-rigid foam technologies in various areas of the building construction. Usage and design with spray foam insulation for the different North American climatic zones in large commercial and residential construction will be integrated. The basic building sciences of residential construction regarding air infiltration, water vapor permeance, and proper HVAC sizing will be discussed. Concerns regarding indoor air quality and proliferation of molds and mildews will also be presented.
